Description
The Victoria Cross (VC) is the highest military decoration awarded for valour in the face of the enemy to members of the armed forces of Commonwealth countries, and previous British Empire territories. It is awarded for most conspicuous bravery, or some daring or pre-eminent act of valour or self-sacrifice, or extreme devotion to duty in the presence of the enemy and takes precedence over all other orders, decorations and medals.
