Anzac Framed Tribute With Gallipoli Medal And Rising Sun
The large Centre Image features Soldiers from the Australian imperial Force from the 11th Battalion sitting on a Pyramid in Egypt. The photo was taken on Sunday 10th January 1915 prior to the Battalion landing on Gallipoli Beach on the fateful April morning in 1915.
This incredible tribute includes a replica of the rising sun badge and a replica of the Gallipoli medallion, the medal provided to all returning soldiers to signify their sacrifice during the Gallipoli campaign. The Collage also includes a detailed story of the historical image including those diggers that perished, young diggers that should not have been there given their age and the fact that tragically 80% of those photographed never returned from Gallipoli. A remarkable keep sake paying tribute to the brave soldiers from the 11th AIF Battalion.
