Just the second team to successfully go back-to-back, Ivan Cleary’s men have taken on all challengers and yet again stood tall. It was billed as the biggest Grand Final in NRL history and in the Battle of the West, it was the Machine from the Mountains that reigned supreme. After an enforced break, Nathan Cleary’s Finals series was sublime, and he had plenty of mates in that regard. Dylan Edwards had without doubt his best season, Stephen Crichton continued his meteoric rise and co-captain Isaah Yeo had a season to remember. When it was all said and done… the best team in the comp won the comp. It’s the way it ought to be.
