This year saw the club dialled in for not merely a deep September run, but a run that would see them capture the Premiership that has agonisingly eluded them for the past decade. Led by Joel Selwood, Patrick Dangerfield, Tom Hawkins, Jeremy Cameron and recruit Tyson Stengle, the list of talent goes on. Chris Scott’s men had already secured the minor premiership on their way to conquer the AFL world – and that they did. With a squad boasting an ideal balance of maturity and a handful of budding stars on the rise, the Cats were too good for the Swans in almost every facet of the game.
