Replica mini silks

Limited edition of 200

Description

James Edward Pike nicknamed “The Master”, was an Australian jockey who was known for riding Phar Lap to victory in the 1930 Melbourne Cup

Phar Lap was a champion Thoroughbred racehorse whose achievements captured the Australian public’s imagination during the early years of the Great Depression. Foaled in New Zealand, he was trained and raced in Australia by Harry Telford.

The mini silks are a replica of the type Jim Pike wore when he rode Phar Lap “Big Red”or “Bobby” as he was called by strapper Tommy Woodcock. Phar Lap will go down in history as one of the best ever race horses.

The mini silks have been framed on a printed mat board with images and his career stats and they are a limited edition of only 200.
